The Road Taken Two roads forked in a green forest rested And sad I could choose but one And a single sojourner I was here tested And viewed down one as deep as it nested To where it darkened by the shaded sun; Then ventured not, but took the fairer way, And it owning a less fretful demeanor, Being traveled a fore would contain no delay; Though if that were the case, I could not say Had previous ventures made either way cleaner, And each in morning light rested equal In this lane which seemed plain and true. Oh, I will know the other in a future Fall! Yet accepting there may be no return at all, I questioned if I would ever provide that review. I shall remark this as time passes by Some place when I dwell on skill and chance: Two roads forked in a forest, and I-- I seized one more traveled in advance, And that the genesis of my happenstance. - al brown
