Enter The Poet - The Some Old New Things
The Sand Beneath My Feet
Our love was strong; bond together like destiny
Our love was wide, vast, and open, as the blue sea
Our bond was an enduring one; ordained for fame
Opposing difficulty, we'd stand with no shame
It was all true, but only in one side of reality
The only one, effectively in love, was solely me
We were young, but my heart was younger
The fuel of my heart could not sate your hunger
So the victory of our love fell into utter defeat
And drifted away, like the sand beneath my feet.
