The Poet Enters

If you spend more time at your job, than anywhere else in your life, how can your job be separate from your life. And if your job has no true value, how can someone not be undervalued as a person? Most people can do more and comprehend more than the sum of their job; however, we are still treated with the same respect or disrespect others have for our occupation.

I am under the assumption that life is unkind, unfair, and frequently both. However, every so often it can be pleasant; but that proves to be the exception, and not the rule.

We were born to die, of that, how can there be doubt; but will we exist as a whisper, or as bold as a shout?

You can't make me like the situation, but you don't have to make me hate it.

Often it's not the place nor the time; it's the people.

Future good times may sometimes be dependent on current bad times.

They never listen, they do not understand, they don't know our pain, they can't comprehend our sorrow, and they don't appreciate our concerns; but who are they, and who are we?

Many will judge you on what they think, rather than what you understand; to judge you on comprehension would require time to listen, but this is extra work.

Your plight can often be in the hands of those who do not care, do not have the time to care, or do not want to care; but not all of the time.

The day can be hard and long; but don't worry, there are hours left before it ends.

Overwhelmed and unappreciated; this is the chorus, which often embraces my lips.

Sometimes life can lead you to paths you dare not tread; kicking and screaming all the way.

Often we seek our friends to join us in our pursuits; are we so adapt when we are called upon?

Plans often change, and they never ask for permission.

Time is wise and conserves its hope, and we are foolish and spend our joy.

Sometimes I love my contempt of the moment; it somehow proves that I have not lost my sense of being.

Tomorrow is not just a pale reflection of actions performed today; it will bring elements of its own design.

What is it that you are seeking; are you really doing what it takes to acquire it, or are you just talking up a good game plan?

Never be a captive of your anger nor your fear; it's a cold dark place to dwell.

Some have stated that everything you do is valid, and that no time is wasted; sorry, but I don't know any of those people.

You can never do enough for those who do not care.

Are you too much now, and too little tomorrow, too much tomorrow, and too little now; are you a bit of both.

Trying to get even can often unbalance your life.

Sometimes you simply have to complete the task; that's if you get the chance to start.

I once wondered if my life had a meaning; but now I wonder if there is a meaning to life.

If the world seems fine and normal to you, then you are living in a very different world than most of us.

We both can't be right, but we both can surely be wrong.
