The Poet Enters - Not Wanting To Dread
This World of Dread
I don’t want the world to end, not without my piece
But who cares what I want, wonders do not cease
I have always dreamt of a wide, bright wonderful world
With violence and hate abounding, that future was hurled
Doesn’t anyone want peace; hope for future generations
Doesn’t anyone seek optimism; love, joy, and their creations
Is it all about money, or perhaps about obtaining more power
Will people destroy all of mankind, just to be King for an hour
Maybe before the end, people will ponder about are looming fate
Maybe we will all find the answer; wouldn’t that just be great
