Enter The Poet - As Your Knight
Do you still see me; I more frequently ask in my mind
Afraid of the answer, which is probably not kind
Did my feelings ever matter, or did you only think they did
Is my sincerity too bold, should I have kept the truth hid
Was I ever your hero; your knight in bright shiny armor
Was I simply an illusion, an unfulfilled dream, simply a blur
Did you see me for who I was, or for what you wanted me to be
Could you hold me, just as I am, not for what you choose to see
Can we find a solution; one that is pleasant, peaceful, and kind
Is there hope; is this just a waste of time, have I gone blind
Do you still see me; I more frequently ask in my mind
Afraid of the answer, which is probably not kind
