Enter The Poet - With New Judgements

Image
What makes old memories better than new ones; and who made someone else the judge?

Enter The Poet - As A Point Certainty

I am certain that I will make a decision; just as I am certain that I don't know what it is, yet.

Enter The Poet - Looking For The Emmy

I just want you to realize that you are a part of "my life", just as I am a part of  "your life". We are not competing for the star role in a singular series; we are working co-stars in a continuing cross-over event.

Enter The Poet - Losing What Has Been Lost

I have not lost a great love; I have gained a great longing. I have not opened a great hole in my heart; I have emptied it of distraction. A great happiness has not been removed; A great responsibility has been lifted. I have not deceived myself, I fear; But merely hoping to avoid your pity.

Enter The Poet - Forgetting To Forget

Image
There will be days, that you will never wish to remember; and there will be days that you will wish never to forget. May there be few of the former and many of the latter.

Enter The Poet - To Be Young

New things, rather new feelings are great; the joy of the unknown and unplanned. That's to say, if it is a good experience; bad events are never in high demand.

Enter The Poet - Feeling This Wonder

The song keeps on coming, like a long distant echo; of sorrow so close, and so dear. Reminds you of your past, follows wherever you go; tells you all the things, you wish not to hear. You take the accusation so personally, it's not directed at you. That's if your eyes are open, and you're willing to see; else the guilt is yours, with the things you do.

Enter The Poet - Wanting To Elongate The Time

Life is full in it's width and depth, but it seems rather brief in it's length.

Enter The Poet - A Little Bewildered

Image
Are you trying to help me, or just prove a point? Even so, If you do prove your point, does it help me, or just make you right?

Enter The Poet - Not Ready For Battle

Frequently we start battles which we are unwilling to avoid, yet unprepared to fight.

Enter The Poet - Based On Reality

I would like to think that we all want the best for each other; but really, that is not the reality of this life.

Enter The Poet - Bringing Another Round

All of us want to be loved, and some strive to be lovable. Even so, how many of us strive to love others or learn how to love well?

Enter The Poet - A Little Unprepared

Image
Sometimes what you expect never arrives; sometimes it only passes by.

Enter The Poet - Feeling Grim

People seldom like to face their faults, and some would rather remind you of yours; even if they are fictional.

Enter The Poet - Under A Bright Night

The stars shine on us all; and some of us appreciate it.

Enter The Poet - Barely Aware

The more you learn, the more you know; remember this does not always include the people around you.

Enter The Poet - Barely Happy

Image
I would clap my hands, if I knew I were happy; but if I don't know that I am happy, then I surely can't be.

Enter The Poet - Barely Sad

I would like to make my mark in the world; especially before it finishes making marks on me.

Enter The Poet - Pleasant To Be Around

It's always nice to be around people you like; it's even better to be around people who like you.

Enter The Poet - Craving Northern Food

The pace increases and the time grows short. Too far to begin again, and too far to abort.

Enter The Poet - On The Edge of The World

Image
There is a pillar of knowledge; does anyone dare to climb? To the top of its' branches, open up your mind. There are many angles, and you can find the proof. Are we embracing  vanity, and simply ditching the truth? Do we care what we understand, or do just want our own reality? Is this just simply stubbornness or could it be gullibility? Many sources can't all be wrong, and only one source true. If we simply fail to do any reasoning, what else are we to do?

Enter The Poet - Working On A Good Theory

I looked to the horizon and saw the edge of the sky. The two met in a single line, like infinity passing by.

Enter The Poet - Simply Wondering Why

Who has determined the value of my purpose, and what do they gain? Does it interfere with their goals, do they even know my name?

Enter The Poet - Questioned About The Weather

I have been asked if I am liberal or conservative? To that I have replied that I am either liberally conservative, or conservatively liberal. Either way, I am an American born poetic commentator.

Enter The Poet - Seeking Lower Fees

Image
There is a cost to trusting people; that cost is vulnerability. Just how much trust are you willing to pay for?

Enter The Poet - Outside of Self

We are only a community if that is our goal; otherwise we are simply a collection of random people.

Enter The Poet - About A Love

What do we know of our love? Is it true or a lie? What do we know of hope? Are we happy, or should we cry? I do not hold a passion for what poses as concern. I seek for honesty; complete and unyielding, may it burn. Love can be a useful tool; or it can be a sharp sword. Fragile, once fractured; and reluctant to be restored. al brown

Enter The Poet - Bending Common Traits

I Concur With Your Self Assesment There is a lot of talk recently about people trying to understand, "who they are"? I find this interesting, that is, I find it strange. You are who people think you are, regardless of what you are trying to be. If you think you have a great product, it's only great if people who will buy it think so. If you think that you are a great singer, you are, only if the right number of people like your voice. If you think you are smart, that really depends on what the people you hang out with think; if they do. All this is to say, that you are who you are, and hopefully people agree with your assessment. I don't completely agree with this, but neither can I prove it incorrect. al brown

The Poet Enters - In 16 Million Shades

I am colored That is to say that my skin has color The world loves color, but it does not love me Color movies, color pictures, black and white movies which have been colorized But not people with color What is wrong with my color, do I have too much or too little But the world loves color, and it does not love me Colorful fireworks, color visuals added to music, colorful songs, and colorful words But not people with color What is wrong with my color, is it too dull or too profound Still the world loves color, yet it does not love me The world loves color on their houses, color on their walls, and color added to their eyes But not people with color What is wrong with my color, is it too dark, is it too brown The world loves everything about color, but not people of color I have color That is to say that my skin might have the wrong color al brown

Enter The Poet - Crossed In Translation

Image
Each day, I strive to be better and to achieve worthwhile goals. I would like to be original in my thoughts and ideas; and not to be an original fool.

Enter The Poet - Lost In Banality

The world is not a simple place; so why is it filled with so many simple people?

Enter The Poet - Past The Precipice

If you are in a free-fall, without a chute, do you face the pending doom, or turn away, and await destruction?
