The Poet Enters

The day is a blur, and everything is confusing. People are being themselves, and not amusing. We want things to be happy and grand. How and when do we make our stand? I would like understanding; that would be my musing.

At times, we all need a moment to think and reflect on our past and future choices; I am just looking for that moment.

What does the day have in store for you; did you plan it, or did it just happen to you?

I am not always sure where I would like to be, or what I would like to do; I can only be sure when I know I don't like what I am currently doing or where I currently am.

If the day unfolds exactly as you expected, and possibly planned for, would that be a good or bad day for you?

Some days cast a large shadow and have great influence over your life and feelings; let's hope that the shadow is peaceful, and the influence is good.

Here we are, once more, the Christmas Day. We wish to enjoy, the children wish to play.   Care we share the dream of hope, and of goodwill? Can we be kind, give freely, choose love, and do no ill? Where this day takes us; only your heart can truly say.

We look to each other, to bring the spirit of joy. We seek each other out; trying not to be coy.   We need each other, it seems to be true. Yet, we try to hide this fact in all we do.   Yet, once a year, these facts, we try to employ.

We may never give the right gift, or give that present that makes dreams come true; but, we can share our time and our concern, maybe that can be enough.

Every moment I have ever had, has already passed into the darkness of yesterday; I only want enough time to acknowledge and enjoy the current ones.

I am not telling you how to feel, I am only sharing with you, what I feel; you can either try to understand, or leave me to my feelings.

You can't always change the people or the location, but you adjust your interaction; by changing your actions, you might adjust the climate of the situation.

We can accomplish great things, go to great places, make the world a better place; that is, if we are reading from the same book.

I think I spend more time trying to convince the world that I exist and that I matter, than simply existing; sometimes I feel like my only purpose is to reflect light.

If no one wants to be hurt, why should it be me; that's what I want everyone to understand, but no one is either listening nor cares.

Some people live on hope, while others may live in a world of negatives, I try to live in the world of the practical; the world of what could, should, will, and can happen, based on what is actually known.

It's nice to be a part of the enjoyment and not the spectator; watching others enjoy themselves, while you are not, is never fun.

We can't know everything, but we can know some things; and, we should seek to do that every day.

I would like to believe that good things happen to people who deserve them, when they deserve them; that's what I would believe, if I had the evidence.

There never seems to be enough time, for people to do the right thing, no matter how much time is available; however, people can always find the time to be mean.

What we do as people, with people, for people, and against people matters in the context of our individual lives and in the societies in which we live; so, we should strive to add positive elements to our daily interactions.   However -    Whether "What if nothing matters", is a question with a definitive answer, depends on one's perspective. For some, it’s an opportunity to embrace the freedom to live authentically, to create meaning for themselves without the pressure of cosmic significance. For others, it may raise feelings of disillusionment or nihilism. "What if nothing matters?" can also be a reminder that meaning is subjective, and that sometimes the journey, relationships, or small moments in life can hold the most value—even if, from a purely logical standpoint, nothing ultimately "matters" in the universe.

We all need balance in our lives, and a way to maintain it; but first, we may have to understand our lives, and the reason it's not already balanced.

If you learn something new each day, I surmise that you will become smarter; however, what happens each day, in which, you learn nothing?

Often I speak for the day or for the moment, but I also have to listen; because, the days and the moments may wish to speak for themselves.

Tell me the truth, or re-evaluate our situation; I can't do anything correctly with a lie.

So many things affect our decisions and our lives; most times, I'm just trying to sort this mess out.

The last thing I want out of life is pain, but I can't seem to escape it; especially, the type which is delivered by others.

As we move through life, we will encounter things which cause us stress and confusion; some can't be avoided, but maybe some of them can.

Life can be overwhelming at times; that's when it's great to have support from outside sources.

You may not be ready for the day, but the day has been waiting for you; and maybe for astounding reasons.

Great things can happen, and great things can be made to happen, to make them happen, you have to make the effort, or take a chance; to have them happen, you just have to let them occur.
