The Poet Enters

Finding the answers is hard enough; I don't need anyone adding any additional obstacles.

It’s a big and vast world, filled with countless people; yet often it feels very lonely, seemingly for no good reason.

It's a difficult thing to stand against the crowd; it may be even harder, feeling the shame by standing with them.

I grow older each day, and I make a conscious effort to become smarter and wiser; I just don't understand what everyone else is up to.

The truth is never easy, but it is invaluable; without it, there is only opinion and conflict.

Sometimes, your actions must speak for the words that no one hears or pays attention to.

The squeaky wheel may get the oil; eventually, you'll need to fix the broken engine.

Things are never quite the way I truly wish them to be; sometimes, it feels like they never will be.

What is the purpose of a government; if you know the answer, do you understand the problem?   Here's a hint:  The purpose of a government is to organize and manage a society or nation by establishing laws, policies, and systems to maintain order, protect the rights and safety of its citizens, and promote the well-being of its population.

I don't seek sympathy, I've earned respect; it shouldn't matter if others can't tell the difference.

There is still true beauty in the world, and each day is an opportunity to become part of it; each day can also be a choice not to be.

What does it take to simply be a friend and be considered one as well; I'm unsure, but I am definite that it requires effort from all sides.

I try to please you often, as I usually do; it never goes as planned. The result is frequently mediocre, never outstanding or grand.

Someone once said that you could achieve great things through hard work; they forgot to mention that sometimes, those great things would be claimed by others.

I didn’t choose you because I liked you or wanted to get to know you better; my heart chose you, and how could I deny what my heart desired?

I looked around to see how many people were watching my accomplishments; everyone else was too busy staring at their own.

I want to be a better person and can strive to obtain that goal; however, does it make me a better person if I bring other people down?

We all know that everything has its own place, and its own time; we just never know where or when.

A new day signifies change, renewal, and fresh starts; my new day dispenser is definitely broken.

When we share our lives with others, it's important to understand that they are not extensions of us, nor are they a part of us; they are their own individuals, who have chosen to take on that option and responsibility

Even if I had half of the answers to the questions I have, I still wouldn't understand half the things I'm trying to comprehend.

As I try to resolve the issues that complicate my life; life throws more events my way to prevent me from achieving that goal.

Not everything makes sense; even things which should, and can.

Instead of focusing on controlling or possessing each other; how about supporting mutual growth, open communication, and joint respect?

The number one misconception about relationships is that they are about ownership, possession, or control. In reality, the keys to a good relationship are cooperation, devotion, and dedication.

I want my existence to matter, make my impression in this life. Create beauty and peace, in my world; avoid unwanted strife.

During our lifetimes, we may come across many unexpected or wild events; we don’t need to be one of them.

Not too much and not too little, only in the proper amount. Doing everything with diligence, just to make matters count.
